英國「每日鏡報」報導，一隻正常的滑鼠，每個星期平均會被點擊2570次；在它被主人丟掉之前，可以被點擊高達37萬次；調查還發現，在辦公室用的滑鼠，使用期限平均是33個月、大約兩年半；在這33個月當中，它必須要走上長達680公里的路。
